Recently Direct TV Business Services announced that they have a solution for the sports fans that have had to deal with blackouts on some sporting events and this solution is a search engine. This search engine will enlighten sports fans what channel they can find the blacked out sporting event and it will also inform them when there is no channel that it will be televised. This will not only brighten the day of the sports fan at home, it will also make it a better day at the sports bar where before there might have been a sports channel on with a sports show talking about the blackout game and now it will be watching the game at the sports bar.
This has been a way that is used to protect the networks, the sports leagues and the teams that are the rights holders for these blacked out games. It has also been to the annoyance of sports fans that had to either search channels for the games and hope for the correct timing or else miss the game and hear about it later on sports news.
This new search engine can not be mistaken as it is named GameSearch and is designed to work when the DirecTV business subscriber that is a sports fan puts on a channel that is blacked out the GameSearch scans the other channels for the game they want to view. The search engine will give the fan the channel number that is not blacked out.
One great feature of this new search engine is when the fan cannot be in front of the television and they set the DVR to record the game if it is a blackout channel it will automatically record the game on the channel the search engine finds it on, meaning that there will not be a missed game even when your not there.
